The _________ Emergency Response Plan Manual has been organized into several modules:

Module 2 - Preparation

  • This describes the systems that must be considered.

Events to be Considered

  • The section highlights disastrous situations from the main areas of occurrence.

Communications & Public Information

  • This section discusses how to communicate with the emergency agencies, the public and the media.

Customer Services

  • This explains how to provide customer services.

Employee Services

  • This explains how to support your employee during a crisis.

Administrative Services

  • This is an explanation of the administrative needs in an emergency.

Outside Assistance

  • This describes how to manage outside assistance in those industries where mutual assistance is available.

Assessment

  • This is a description of disasters, areas to consider and when to declare.

Response

  • This is a description of how to respond with this plan to an emergency

Follow-up

  • This section explains what to do following the emergency


Module 4 - Recurring Tasks

Exercising the Plan

  • This section describes the testing procedures.

Training

  • How to train the participants is explained.

Maintenance

  • It is necessary to maintain the plan on a regular basis.

Auditing

  • This section explains how to audit the plan.


Module 5 - Appendices

The Methodology

  • This section describes the methodology used to develop this plan.

Plan Approach

  • This describes the strategies to use for several specific incidents.

Emergency Command Center

  • This is a description of the command center that will be used.

Module 6 - External Resources

This contains references to external resources that may be used in the preparation or execution of this plan.

Module 7 - Team Tasks

This volume contains all of the procedures that have been developed for all of the teams

Module 8 - Key Data

The module contains the databases of information that will be required to effect continuity, recovery and restoration.

The emergencies in this Plan have been specifically addressed because they have catastrophic potential, can endanger service and/or result in extensive public media and government attention. Since the requirement of any event will be unique, the procedures in this Plan have been designed to aid managerial initiative in responding to emergency situations.
